Couple of questions for those that are due in April

So my baby is due late April. I know this is probably a really silly question but will she need a coat/jacket to wear in the pram? I was also looking at the star wraps for the pram. Has anyone used those before?
Also, when is best to sterilise bottles before you have your baby? Thought they would need doing before having the baby so they are ready to go once she is here?

Im due in April! Firstly, solidarity the finish line is in sight. (She says as shes rotting in bed with acid reflux, a shell of a human). My first baby was march and we are in NI so lots of weather variation. I did have a little pram suit for him but also light layers so vest, onesie, little cardigan, cellular blankets so I could easily tweak up and down as needed.

Not used a star wrap but they are so cute. My big advice would be see what you can get second hand and on vinted. Its so hard to know what works for you and it varies dramatically. You can get lots of perfect condition newborn stuff because people find it doesn't suit.

I breastfed but did have formula stuff in case. I washed and steralised everything a couple of weeks before to practice then bought prepped newborn packs of premade formula so I didnt have to worry about it immediately and could do it again as needed when home.

Honestly, I am hanging on by a thread! Haha. I’m so ready to meet my baby but also so nervous for the whole process. This is my 3rd baby so I know what to expect but my last baby was 13 years ago! We can do this!

vinted is my best friend so yes I think I’ll have a look on there for a couple of baby jackets and things I think just so I have plenty of options. Especially with the lovely British weather!

Thank you!

when I had my second, my oldest was 16 months old so not a very big gap but honestly it was easier in so many ways! Obviously still hard work but I’m glad I had them close together. You’ll be absolutely fine. Before you know it they will play together and keep each other amused and it’ll be great!
I love routine so relied on it. You’ll fall into your own way of doing things 💕
I feel like I’m starting all over again with such a big age gap!

I definitely would get a little pram suit for them, for the use it’ll
get I’d get one second hand from vinted. My daughter was April and my nephew April and it was actually snowing when he was born! Still a little early for consistent nice weather (not that that is actually a thing in the Uk lol). Congratulations to you I hope it goes smoothly! 🥰

My little one was born end of April last year, an unpredictable time of year but for us it was when the weather turned nice so we didn't need a pram suit. We just did vest, sleep suit, cardi and then could layer blankets if it got chilly. I used a star wrap from when they were a couple of months old and honestly my favourite, we got second hand on vinted and then got a bigger size so my son is still in a star wrap most of the time now at 11 months, I love that you can get them in and out of it so easily, and for me was a lifesaver when he fell asleep on a walk, when we come inside to warmer temp I could open it up and take him out of it without disrupting too much. Didn't use it early days but you will get good use out of it I think as there is plenty of room in them!
I agree with PP, I breastfed also but had prepped myself for bottle feeding if necessary, I did need to give some formula initially due to tongue tie, and I think it's best to get the readymade bottles with teats for straight away then you can sterilise when you get home. The bottles will only stay sterilised for a short period of time as far as I know
