I posted this on Reddit first, but since nobody responded I’ll try here too. If I get grammar wrong, or the text is generally terrible, my apologies I’m legally blind and attempting this on an iPhone. So, I tested positive for pregnancy today, however my period is almost 3 weeks late. There are times where I’ll skip one, so I tested pretty late. I’d estimate to be around 6 1/2-7 weeks pregnant as of right now. Does anyone have Pregnancy/Newborn tips? I’m only 18, although I’ll be 19 soon. I would ask family, but I haven’t even told them yet as I quite literally just discovered. If you have any advice on either topic, it’d be much appreciated!

Congratulations!

Pregnancy.. enjoy it, every single bit! It's such a magical time.obviously make sure you get prepared, I'd say the sooner you are able to start buying and putting away the better.

Newborn.. routine was key for us! It still is and my little one will be 4 next month. We also found zip babygrows so much easier than buttons. If we are lucky enough to have another I will be purchasing more of those!

Hopefully you have people around you who will support you.

Congratulations!
the main thing I wanted to offer is reassurance that no matter what your age, absolutely no first time (or even multiple times) mums know what they’re doing!! It takes lots of guessing and googling.
ps I swore by the love to dream swaddle the second time round to actually get some sleep! And buy lots off Vinted nothing lasts 2 minutes for babies

I just wanted to say you’re not alone… I’m also struggling with feeling clueless! I’m 31 weeks now and I’m learning slowly and expecting to learn even more when baby’s here and I’m sure you will too. Lean on others for support and try and enjoy it as much as you can, it’s daunting and physically and mentally hard but you can do it :) congratulations!

You haven’t tested late at all, but please book in with a midwife. You’re very early days. Please let your parents know. If you’re legally blind then you’ll need all the support you can get.
