Soap on hands accidentally went in mouth

Hi
I was using some fairy liquid dish soap to do some washing up and cleaned my hands. My concern is I think I had a bit of soap that didn’t wash off that then entered my mouth. Is this a danger in anyway? I rinsed it out.

thanks,

It's absolutely fine.

Echobelly · 13/03/2025 15:06

No, none whatsoever.

Fastingandhungry · 13/03/2025 15:07

You’ll be fine!!

Hairoit · 13/03/2025 15:07

No you will be absolutely fine. If some fairy liquid soap suds were any kind of danger there would be massive danger warnings all over it and a child proof lid

I think you should go to the doctor about your anxiety. I’m not trying to be horrible. But you must have posted at least 10+ threads on so many different things in the past few weeks.

With anxiety this severe I truly believe you need professional help and not just people on mumsnet telling you everything is fine.

I second this OP. I’m really sorry you are struggling so bad with anxiety but these things really can’t harm you or baby however your stress and anxiety may not be helping either of you x

You need to think this through. You use the dish soap to wash dishes which you then eat off. They wouldn't be allowed to sell dish soap that could cause you harm by ingesting it.

OP with lots of kindness I agree with these PPs. This level of worry must be making your life really challenging, it's okay to ask for help and your midwife will be able to support you and make sure you've got the right bits in place xx

HoppingPavlova · 14/03/2025 05:51

Why would they be able to sell dishwashing liquid that is poisonous? Think it through. No issue.

doodahdayy · 14/03/2025 05:53

Like another poster said, please seek help if you are thinking like this constantly.

CrownCoats · 14/03/2025 05:57

OP, as other posters have said, you really need to get some professional help. If your mental health is this bad before the baby has even arrived, I’m not sure how you’re going to cope once it’s here.
