After many losses I am now pregnant again.

We have had scans at:
5w6d (Early scan sue to previous ectopic)
6w5d (had a small bleed so was a check up)
8w1d (meeting with consultant due to previous losses)

At these scans baby was measuring 2 days behind LMP every scan.

We have now has a 9w scan (private) but baby is suddenly measuring 9w5d. Sonographer said it's nothing to worry about but naturally we are very anxious after the losses. (Our latest loss was a missed MC where heartbeat stopped at 8w3d).

This isn't something to be concerned about, the equipment they use at private scans is different to what they use at NHS scans and often the dating is a bit further ahead at private scans. Also, as you get further along in pregnancy there begins to be more of a 'range' in sizes of the baby - ie not everyones 9 week baby will measure exactly the same, just as not all babies are born at 40 weeks being the exact same size.

Congratulations and try not to worry!

Like the PP said, I wouldn't worry too much about jumping forward.
The difference can be human error or scan quality differences. At 9 weeks everything is so small, the smallest of margins make a big difference.

With my last pregnancy, I was measuring behind until my 12 week scan...then jumped a week ahead.

Pregnancy after losses is really hard (I've been there). Try to focus on the positives of reaching certain milestones than the negatives of what could be wrong. Congrats btw.

The most accurate measurements come from your 12 week scan which is why they use that as the 'dating' scam and that's when you get your official due date.
Baby is still so tiny before that so a certain margin of error.

The difference between my early scans at 6 and 8 weeks versus my 12 week scan was 5 days.

I had a whole host of different dates/sizes throughout pregnancy. As did lots of people I know. Try not to worry, and congratulations.
