Where to go for emergency check up during the first trimester

I am 8 weeks pregnant and I did the self referral to the closest hospital (London), I got a letter saying I have my scan booked in 6 weeks or so but haven't received any info yet on any other appointments I am due, nor anything regarding the midwife contact...
I went for a private scan a few days ago and was told I have a fairly large cyst on one of my ovaries and that it may dissolve on its own but also may not, and I should keep an eye on it
I am feeling quite a bit of pain on that side today and tbh I have no clue who to turn to for a check up.
I can't afford going through private care route and would just like a normal nhs care, but I feel I am in a bit of a limbo in first trimester - without antenatal care essentially - noone to turn to.

Am I missing something, should I have a contact with a midwife at this point, a place to go for emergency check ups?

I feel a bit silly as this is not my first and I know where I went last time - but this was after my first midwife appointment where I got that book and all the info...but what do I do before that stage?

Do you have an Early Pregnancy Assessment Service in your area? That's where it'd be where I am.

GP referral or via A and E ( because you have pain) can refer to EPAS.

have you tried self referring to your local early pregnancy unit.

EPAU - early pregnancy assessment unit. You can self-refer in many areas.

I've just been trying to get into an epau myself, I posted about it but I think the traffic in 30 days is very low. It's really hard, not that many let you walk in and you need to get a referral from your midwife / a&e / gp.

I don't think your issue is an epau issue though, surely it's a GP issue.

I had an ovarian cyst which had to be removed. I was referred to a surgeon via my GP.

It's true that cysts come and go on ovaries so go to your gp now and they can keep an eye on it and decide next steps. I wouldn't think they would want to operate whilst you are expecting.

I think pain in early pregnancy is an EPAU issue.

If she has a confirmed cyst and pain the first port of call would be a doctor.

Hi OP, did they say it was a new cyst or corpus luteum cyst? I was told my corpus luteum was on the larger side which might cause me aches and pain and that it will get smaller as time goes on which it has. Which London hospital is it? My one unfortunately does not accept self referral it would be via GP or A&E.

It is corpus luteum, i will try and go through the gp to get that referral.
