11w today.
12w scan week Thursday.

I've had hyperemesis and been hospitalised three times for fluids due to the sickness.

I've now managed to get some meds that definitely make the vomiting and nausea more bearable (god bless you, Xonvea), but it's almost like it's been replaced with headaches, exhaustion and general feeling of being 'off'.

I have so much to do. We moved house in December and the spare room is still an absolute shit hole, I just can't hack it. Every morning I wake up with the best of intentions and sure it's going to be different today, but by 9am I'm flaked on the sofa again.

Any tips? I'm fed up!

Aw it’s so horrible, full sympathy from me. I had ‘morning sickness’ aka all day sickness with both mine and it’s just awful. I wasn’t hospitalised tho, it sounds like you are really going through it. Mine got loads better both times at around 12-16 weeks, I was happy from then on and comfortable up to about 8 months and then it was just exhaustion, aches and hip issues - but I think that gets you really ready for the birth but.

sorry I should add, the only things that helped make it slightly bearable was my husband brought me a cold apple out the fridge first thing in the morning before I got out of bed and it really helped to reduce the nausea so I could shower and get up. Then I would snack on ice lollies, more cold fruit, ice water and stuff like that. The key for me was always having a slow stream of food constantly being eaten to keep the Meg nausea and weakness at bay…but most of the time I was on the sofa feeling awful. If it’s your first, my advice is to just lean into it and take the time to lie down and just get through it.

Is there anyone who can help? It’s not doing any harm staying like it is for now.

Thank you.

DP is wonderful and does so much but it's just the feeling of not being independent and kind of counting down the days, not enjoying it at all!

Just wanted to drop you a message of solidarity and let you know that you are not alone in the trenches. I’m 14 weeks tomorrow and still very sick. I find the xonvea really wipes me out - I’ve tried Ondansetron which worked in my last pregnancy but the sickness became uncontrollable again so I’ll be going back on xonvea.
With my first, things really improved around 16 weeks. I still had the odd day of being very sick but it was a world away from the debilitating sickness and nausea of the early stages x
