Hi
Just wondering if anyone has heard any good or bad reports on the i-candy? I really like the look of it but can't find much to say whether its good or not.

Hi scorpio2, I have the i candy pear. I love it but to be honest it is really heavy and not that easy to collapse. Its well made which for £640 with the seat units, carrycot and a maxi cosi car seat was a reasonable price. If i was to buy another pram/pushchair, i dont think i would choose i candy again.

I have the ICandy Apple and think it is great. It is v. compact and was really easy to put together. I have only used the pram bit, but the pushchair looks v. straightforward too. My dd really likes sleeping in the carrycot and I use it round the house (with a different mattress) instead of a moses basket. Other good feature is you can get 3 wheels or 4 if you think you might want to turn it into a double decker one day.
I couldn't decide whether to get Apple or a Bugaboo and am glad that I saved the money and got the Apple (about £400 I think, got a separate car seat though not Maxi Cosi).

apple great in pram mode awful heavy and cumbersome in pram mode and dangerous in 3 wheeled with heavier child.
swapped mine for bugaboo and never missed it

Just a report from a friend who bought it to economise rather than the Bug Cam she wanted - she finds it far too bulky and heavy - I said at least she can upgrade to the Pear with the extra unit now she is expecting #2 and she said no way, she couldn't handle it even heavier. Think she is selling it.

i ve got the icandy cherry. it's great for putting in the car - really light and simple to fold. i managed to get it out and put it up whilst holding dd yesterday. it folds up neatly and stands up on its own when folded so good if space is tight. the carrycot is v useful in the house and it can also take a maxi cosi car seat. only grumble is the wheels which aren't great at going over fircones in the park but are fine on paths / pavements. over all very pleased and i thought it was better value than others.

We were going to get the iCandy Cherry but our friend's one kept giving her problems. The build quality is fairly shoddy and one of her wheels fell off whilst she was trying to get on a bus... We've bought the Bugaboo Bee instead

hello
i havent looked at this pushchair to be honest, although i did talk to my local pushchair store about warranties and who was good, they are very truthful, and have told me all about the problems with any pushchairs i have looked at, they did say that icandy was pretty awful, and they had had quite a few back with faults etc, sorry dont know what they were.

Hi I have a cherry as well. I do really like it and its light and easy to push and it had all the things I wanted (reversable seat, bar at the front, big basket underneath etc) but I have had reliability issues. I've had 2 frames replaced and some issues with the wheels. But I got it from a good store and they've always replaced parts without issue. If you are going to get one I'd recommend making sure you know how things will be handled if you have to return because of any problems.
