Pleasure after bleeding

Hi all,

This has just been deleted after I spent about 20 minutes carefully typing this so screw it haha, I'm just getting to the point (as mortified as I am)!

I bled a few weeks ago (13/14 weeks) but it's since reduced to brown spotting, sometimes light pink, and has stopped these last few days. Scans, internal exams and dopplers all confirmed baby is healthy, unaffected and they can't see any reason for the bleeding at all. They aren't concerned and only want me to worry if bleeding is heavy and fresh red. They advised me to take it easy in day to day life but didn't mention sex or anything similar.

To those of you who've bled previously in pregnancy, especially if there was no reason visible - did you ever go on throughout the rest of the pregnancy to have orgasms or anything? I don't even mean full blown sex, just these 2nd trimester hormones are a bit intense! Obviously baby is priority and I'll of course maintain as I am if there's risk, I'm just interested in the experiences of others.

Thanks so much! (Slightly mortified I'm typing this into the world, I'm a massive introvert Blush)

If they've said all seems fine and have no concerns I wouldn't worry. I'm sure I read orgasms are beneficial for strengthening uterine walls etc. I'm first trimester so can't imagine anything worse right now but I know DH is counting down the days until the horny second trimester 😂

In my previous pregnancy I had placenta praevia and was told during the second trimester scan to avoid intercourse for the remainder of the pregnancy.
This pregnancy I had a low lying placenta and during the second trimester sex would usually result in some minor spotting but then the placenta moved up.
I wouldn’t worry too much if they have reassured you but if you still have doubts could you just call your midwife and ask?
