Flu in pregnancy

Has anyone had flu in the third trimester? I've never felt so poorly in my life. I don't know what to do with myself! I'm also being sick so can't even keep food down to keep me going 😢. I've called triage and they said they're not worried about seeing me unless I have reduced movements.
Would love some reassurance if you'd had it and everything was ok. I had my flu jab quite early on in the pregnancy.

If you’re not eating or keeping fluids down, I would call triage back up and ensure they are aware of this. I was admitted with severe dehydration in my first trimester but would assume they’d want to keep even more of a close eye on you in the third!
wishing you a speedy recovery x

Thank you, I'll give them a call back.
We've had two losses between our 3 year old so I'm so worried it's going to affect baby 😢. Plus feeling guilty I can't even put my little one to bed. Completely bed bound, aching everywhere and boiling but freezing 😢

Have you taken a dose of paracetamol? It is safe in pregnancy and can help with some of the symptoms you’re having

I had covid whilst pregnant so know how rough you can feel. Sending hugs

I've been taking paracetamol every 4 hours and I felt like it was working but I took my last dose at 17:30pm and I'm yet to feel my temp come down.
I can't tell if baby's movements are reduced because I've been sleeping/lying down on and off all day. Normally I'm rushing around after my toddler/working.
He's definitely moving every now and again so I'm not sure if I should be worried on that front.

I had something similar at 30 weeks, and felt rotten. I went to the hospital in the end as I felt so rough I couldn’t work out baby’s movements or even keep liquids down. They hooked me up to the monitors for a few hours for reassurance and gave me some sickness medication as I was in a state. I remember being sick walking through the hospital corridors on the way to the ward. Hope you’re ok. Xx

@MumofoneToby bless you that sounds awful. I feel like at this point I wouldn't even be able to drive myself to the hospital so I'll see how I am overnight and assess the situation in the morning. Then if I need to go my partner or mum can drive me over. I've managed to keep a bowl of cornflakes down so that's a good sign.
Hope I haven't spoken too soon!

I had flu last week and doctors/midwifes wasn't concerned. But I wasn't vomiting. I think if you are struggling to keep liquids down then you need to go in. Maybe call again and explain you can't keep anything down?

Flu in pregnancy is awful, hope you feel better. Mine was peak for 4-5 days.
