Hello everyone. Is there anything I can do to reduce the effects of my morning sickness or atleast cope with it better? I’m two months gone on my first child.

I found it helpful to eat little and often so my stomach wasn’t ever too empty, as that made the sickness worse. I also pretty much only ate beige food for 12 weeks, as that also seemed to help. Lots of toast and plain crisps and crackers to nibble on throughout the day! Some people find ginger helpful, I did in the beginning but then developed a bit of an aversion to it, but I did find lemon travel sweets helpful so I had something to suck on, that was useful at work to keep it at bay.

If all the general self help advice isn’t working though, or if you’re really struggling to keep food or fluids down you can ask your GP for some anti sickness medication, there are a few options that a safe in pregnancy.

Hope you feel better soon!

This Myrtle and Maude tea kind of helped me I think! Hang in there darling, it’s a nasty old phase to ride out if nothing else ‘works’ for you. I had a friend who was a teacher who was prescribed the anti nausea pills even though she wasn’t vomiting, so don’t hesitate to go to the GP if you’ve had enough (always worth a try I spose). Lots of cuddles and comedy to distract you - I started Motherland as my distraction tool last year. That horrible sick turned to this gorgeous babe now asleep on my chest. Your time is coming soon ❤️
