Suddenly pressure is worse??

Hi! Just seeing if anyone has any experience with this. I'm a FTM at 34+3 and I've had PGP for a lot of my pregnancy, since about 16 weeks onwards. I think it's just because it's my first pregnancy (aside from a loss) and my body isn't used to the extra weight on my pelvis!

Anyway, it would flare up and be worse some days, some days not as bad. I spent the day in bed yesterday as I was feeling a bit rotten and we've just bought a house and moved in but can't do anything until flooring is down upstairs (and partner won't let me do any heavy lifting which I'm thankful for 😅) and since yesterday the pressure has gotten so much worse. It's horrific when I'm lying in bed and trying to turn over. I sleep with a pillow between my legs which does help but as soon as I need to roll over, it's the worst it's ever been! It takes me ages to stand up because it hurts.

I don't have any signs of labour, baby is still moving as normal, no mucus or discharge that's out of the ordinary. Has anyone had the pressure/lightening crotch suddenly get worse like this? Like in the space of a day? It was sore before but this is VERY sore. Not to mention the need to pee/poop every 5 minutes (and usually not even being able to poop, just feeling like I have to!)

I see my midwife tomorrow so will definitely ask her then but just thought I'd reach out to other mums who may be going through the same!

Baby has probably just hecome fully engaged.

Mind, our bodies do tend to do a lot of pooping in the 24hours before labour starts, to get us all cleared out, so it could be that. Yes, mention it tomorrow to MW however if you feel like you cannot cope today don't feel bad in popping to your local EPAU / labour ward for a check over

Baby can drop 2-4 weeks before birth or longer! Baby can pop in and out of engagement and will come when they are ready with no regard to your comfort 😂 but by all means talk to midwife if you are concerned and call if you get REGULARLY occuring pains / cramps of any type.

My baby dropped about 34 weeks (2nd) and still holding on well into 35 weeks with no other signs. I've ready stories on drops at 32 weeks and people going over due so best not to look into it as I, like you, I'm very uncomfortable 😂

This is totally me at the moment! I'm 34+6, suffered with pelvic pain for a while but past few days it's been alot worse in terms of pressure. Everytime I stand up I need to wee but also needing to poo constantly too! The walk up to work and up any stairs is becoming very difficult. No advice really but going through the same and am on alert for any signs of labour. My baby was breech two weeks ago so no idea if it's engaged now!
