Antenatal care with placenta previa

Can anyone tell me what to expect in terms of antenatal care? Someone mentioned that I may have weekly midwife appts but I'm a bit perplexed as I'm not sure what the midwife can do. First baby

I've got a complete placenta previa and the only extra thing I've been told about is additional scans to check if it's going to move. But I've got growth scans booked anyway, so not really additional for me. How far along are you? Not sure if I'll get offered anything else later on (currently 31 weeks).

I had placenta previa in my last pregnancy found at the 20 week scan. It was anterior and also fully over the cervix with no gap.

They said they would give me a scan at 32 weeks to see if it had moved by then. Mine moved by then enough that it wasn’t a problem anymore.

The only other thing is to keep an eye out incase you bleed, any bleeding and call your hospital/maternity unit up.

I didn’t get any additional appointments other than the first pregnancy typical ones.

Ditto pp, you'll probably just have an extra scan at 32 weeks to check it's moved. Most do, try not to worry. If it doesn't they can keep rescanning you after then to see if it moves before nearer your due date. If it doesn't you'll be looking at an elective c-section. I haven't had any additional midwife appts because of it.
