I have stage 4 endometriosis and have two small children.

Cramping can happen even without endometriosis. The first few months until you feel baby moving are torture as you do start to worry whenever something doesn’t feel right. The only thing you can do is wait and when you’re around 8 weeks, maybe book a private scan?

Hi @MrsSonyaA. I’ve been experiencing cramping since before I even got my positive pregnancy test. I’ve read that cramping in early pregnancy is very common and as long as it’s not accompanied by any bleeding it shouldn’t be a concern. As @PotaytoPotahhto mentions, I’m planning to get an early scan at around 8 weeks in the hope that it eases some of my current anxiety a little.

I have endometriosis and had a successful pregnancy with my daughter, now 11 weeks with my second. As others have said cramping is common in early pregnancy as everything is growing and stretching.

I had stage 2 endometriosis and underwent a laparoscopy in April this year to remove it (I’m aware it will most likely come back as advised by my consultant). I then however fell pregnant in May this year, 4 weeks post surgery and baby is due this week. This is baby number 3 for me too and it’s likely I had the endometriosis with my other two children who are 6 and 3 years old. All the best for you x

I have endometriosis too and had a successful pregnancy with very bad cramping at the start. I paid for 2 private reassurance scans and it helped. We saw the heartbeat at 6w4d.

Did the rest of you conceive naturally? Did you have excision surgery or anything beforehand? I have frozen embryos from IVF and wondering if I need a lap (£5k) or meds beforehand, or if i'm likely to conceive through just transferring. I was diagnosed over a decade now and my pain is significantly worse now, I have no idea what things are like inside now.

I have endometriosis and adenomyosis and I'm 11 weeks pregnant with my second. I had one early miscarriage before my first pregnancy. I'm 37 years old and conceived both naturally. With both pregnancies I have had a lot of cramping and bleeding in the early weeks (until about week 9) . Wishing you the best of luck - maybe book an early scan for around 7 weeks if you can ?

@emanresu24 we have conceived naturally to our complete shock! I had excision surgery about 15 years ago and had been taking the contraceptive pill continuously since then until October last year. I had ultrasound scans, MRIs and a hysteroscopy about 12 months ago which confirmed a cyst on one of my ovaries again that I agreed with the consultant to wait and see what happened, a cyst on my cervix (drained but came back again within 6 weeks) and likely adenomyosis. I’m 38 so we were given 6 months to TTC naturally so we’re very surprised to get a BFP last month. I think I was so relaxed about TTC because I was convinced it just wouldn’t happen for us! Good luck to you.
