HELP! NIPT result inconclusive due to high fetal concentration

Advice needed please! I went for a private NIPT test at around 10+2. The results came back and I was told it was inconclusive because the fetal DNA concentration was too HIGH. The doctor was even confused as she said she hadn’t seen this before and she called the lab to confirm. She said she spoke to the scientist who tested my sample to clarify, and apparently it’s rare but it can sometimes happen due to certain medications that someone is on. As some background, I have a history of recurrent miscarriage (two blighted ovum’s and one chemical). As a result, this time round, I was on clexane, prednisolone, omeprazole, cyclogest, and progesterone injections until 12/13 weeks (I’m 13+3 today, and I’m still weaning off the prednisolone, the others I weaned off over the last week). I just had my retest done today but I’m just so anxious about the results. The dr doesn’t seem to know anything and seemed just as clueless as me. Has anyone experienced the same result???

Wow I didn’t realise that would affect it! It makes so much more sense to me now. I had to do mine three times and they still couldn’t get a reading. I was also taking blood thinners and progesterone like you. In the end the NHS one came around and my results were very low so I didn’t bother continuing with the NIPT. They refunded the money, and the subsequent tests weren’t charged.

Ok, that’s good to know. My NHS one also came back normal but NIPT is meant to be more accurate so I’m just confused!!
