Hey MN,

Ive had two consecutive miscarriages and after tests they discovered I have APS. I am now 11 weeks pregnant and the meds are working 🙏

I can’t find much info about the condition as it seems quite rare.

two questions I have:

  1. if you have APS was a c-section recommend for you?
  2. did you have your baby earlier? I’ve read from websites (USA based) that women who have APS tend to have their babies at around 37 weeks to mitigate risk.

if anyone has any info about the syndrome I’d be very grateful.
EPU have really looked after me with my next appointment and scan being with the midwife team.

thank you x

I've got APS but was diagnosed after I'd had my DC so have no experience of pregnancy. There is a facebook group called Antiphospholipid Syndrome UK and another which is American called Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome where you will find other people in the same boat. Questions about pregnancy pop up quite frequently on both of them.

APS Support UK have a lot of info on their website and you can contact them with questions. Also recommend the Facebook groups mentioned above.
