Painting in first trimester

My husband painted our bedroom with water-based paint the other day. He kept the door closed at all time but I don’t think he had the windows open. I was in the room a few times to collect things but only for very short periods of time. We have since had the windows open and kept the door closed, and have slept in another room, but I am still worried about exposure to the fumes. Any advice/reassurance would be great as I’m feeling quite stressed about this.

Google says perfectly safe after 48 hours as the paint will be fully dry

Thank you. I am mainly concerned about my exposure to the paint at the time of painting as I am confident we have now well ventilated the space and are going to keep out the room for the next few days.

If it’s water based it’s perfectly safe.

no need to keep out of the room.

i painted rooms in pregnancy. I checked before.

Thank you for your reply. Even with poor ventilation and so early in pregnancy?

Yep. It’s basically water and non toxic pigment. Absolutely nothing of concern. No worse wet than it is dry.

you might as well breathe in water “fumes” that’s how non bad it is.
