Could this be the start of labour? Or just the norm?

Hello!
im 35 weeks exactly with twins.
37 weeks is classed at full term with the type of twins im having. Section is book for two weeks time

For over a week now I’ve been having constant tightenings of my bump. Triage confirmed it was Braxton hicks, pre labour swab was negative
the tightens are all day long!!
lower back pain in the norm now

since yesterday I have been feeling quite sick/ nausea. I haven’t had any nausea since first trimester. I have completely gone off food, trying to eat little by little
I’m having diarrhoea like cramps, which make me get up to use the toilet and I’m having loose stools.

Not sure where the nausea has come from but it has got me panicking 🙈

I have to say they are exactly the symptoms I had going into labour. I was in hospital because it was a high risk pregnancy. The nurse noticed I hadn't eaten my breakfast and had gone back to bed as I jyst wasnt feeling right. She called the advanced nurse practitioner who confirmed I was in labour even though I wouldn't really have been able to say I was having contractions.
Is there a helpline you can ring to check? NHS or health insurance?

Likewise, particularly the loose stools, well understood as a first sign of labour. I'd get in touch with your midwife, they're more likely to be proactive with managing labour given twins and planned section, and are likely to have you in for checking pretty sharpish.

Although you feel nauseous I'd try to keep hydrated and keep your energy up in whatever food / drink might work for you.

It could be. The body can start prepping for labour some time ahead of it actually starting. I had diarrhoea (worst I've ever had) 2 weeks and then 1 week before my actual labour started. I'm pretty sure it was a sign -- just a VERY early sign.

It could be, but could just be surge of hormones as you’re getting closer. I’m 37 weeks and started getting the same a couple weeks ago. Definitely get it checked out though as you’re carrying twins x

Hi ladies. Thank you all for commenting. I didn’t sleep much last night as laying down was causing cramps and pains all under my bump. I had to keep sitting up / walking around to ease the cramps as they don’t really happen once I’m in an up right position, which is a bit weird!!

This is how my labour was for my second baby. I had diarrhoea and my mum was telling me this sounds like early labour.. I called my midwife and she said no, she didn't think so.
My mum was right! Sending you all the best and how exciting to be having twins xxx
