Pressure/swollen/burning feeling?

I'm gonna try and explain this the best way I can as Im struggling to relate this to anything I've felt before!

This isn't first pregnancy and from about 16weeks-ish I've felt the pressure of baby growing, guessing just cause my body isn't used to the extra weight on my pelvis. Im 30+2 and the pressure has definitely ramped up. It tends to be worse when walking or lying in bed, can't stand lying down without a pillow between my legs to ease the burning pain I feel down below. NO burning when I pee and no issues with that, also had a UTI test done a few days ago and all was clear. Just wondering if anyone else has had this? I feel swollen down there but I've checked regularly and don't have any veins or anything that I can see.

Pain tends to be worse when walking, standing on one leg or lying down. A pillow thick between my legs does ease it eventually but rolling over can be super painful! Midwife doesn't seem concerned but it's only getting worse 😩

I should add, at every scan I've had I've been told baby likes to lie very low. Last time we checked he was still breech but nice and low! Not sure if that could just mean more pressure!

I felt like this in my first pregnancy. One GP thought it was thrush but the swab came back negative? Unbeknownst to me I was also GBS positive (only found out after DD1 developed GBS sepsis) so not sure if that also made a difference? It was keeping me awake at night and awful. I never found out what it was but it definitely did go away before DD1 was born. I didn't have it at all with DD2.

As an aside, sort a private GBS test if your hospital doesn't routinely screen. It's about £40 and absolutely worth it.

This IS my first pregnancy, sorry! Typo. Thanks for your reply! I see my midwife again next week so I'm gonna mention it again. I do have some white discharge but I have already done 2 lots of canestan so if it is thrush that's not working!!! 🙄

Have you looked into PGP? Sounds like it could be your problem

I have and I've mentioned this to my midwife too! I bought a belt and my midwife said the only thing they can really do is refer for physio but the waitlist is so long I probably won't even get an appointment before I give birth. I've read about of women even have to use crutches for PGP, honestly I can see why if that's what it is because walking can be very painful depending on the day! Crazy

Yeah I had low level PGP pain with my last pregnancy. It's not fun. Also didn't disappear after birth, it took a while. Fingers crossed it doesn't get any worse for you

I'm nearly 34 weeks & been like this for weeks now. I've been on the sick since Christmas cos I couldn't stand up in work anymore (retail) my midwife said about referring me but same as you wouldn't get an appt before I give birth so no point. The pressure I feel is unbelievable sometimes!!

I’m 27 weeks and have also had this on and off. It turns out it was thrush each time. I couldn’t believe the amount of discomfort was caused by that and wasn’t the ‘traditional’ thrush symptoms but has made such a difference treating it!
