Any suggestions on how to relieve pregnancy rhinitis? It's awful!

Have tried steam, Vicks, being elevated - none of that seems to help at all

It could be caused by acid reflux. So you could try heartburn remedies.

I have constant rhinitis and the only thing that helps is a steroid nasal spray, not sure if you can take it when pregnant.

I was prescribed a steroid spray when pregnant with my LB. It helped somewhat. He’s now just under 16 weeks old and I have it back 🙈

Cut out cheese. I had massive cheese cravings , but paid the price with rhinitis.......

Thanks - was steroid spray prescribed by GP? Can you remember what it's called? June suggested over the counter sprays but I don't think they do anything!

I have mometasone on prescription.

I struggled a lot my last pregnancy, particularly with the post nasal drip that it caused, which made me gag and barely able to brush my teeth. I don't know which part is the most problematic for you? Now pregnant again and dreading it coming back but this time I plan to use nasal rinses to help. Is that something you could try?

Can you take ibuprofen as this helps reduce the swelling of the nasal passages?

Are you full of snot? Nasal douche/Netti pot with a warm saline solution will flush it through. Pretty grim but effective.

I use a saline nasal spray every morning and night and over a few days this helps. Being outside in fresh air also helps clear my nose.

Olbas oil on a tissue can relieve a bit too.

The steriod spray mometasone is good but takes a while to work.

You can't take ibuprofen when pregnant.
