hope you’re ok op sounds like a stressful time. I’m not clued up on universal credit or anything but surely you would be entitled to something as a full time student and mother? Have you checked online? Maybe ask your student support at the uni or a midwife to point you in the direction of someone to speak to x

Yeah I have but apparently I’m not eligible for any housing benefits or universal credit so I’m basically stranded

Definitely go to student support.

Ring Citizens Advice and Shelter.

You might want to consider taking a year out of uni (you can discuss this with Student Support). You’ll be able to claim UC etc. and you’ll need the time with your baby anyway. There’s a reason maternity leave is up to 1 year in employment.

Good luck!!

Yeah I will go to citizens advice I am planning to take a year out of uni but I got told by some I wont be eligible for universal credit because I will be still deemed to be a full time student even though I have a year out and no sfe and will have a child by then just worried because I need a roof over my head when the baby born

Taking a year out sounds like a bit of a luxury.... you may have to seriously consider going back to studies/work much sooner

first off, congratulations on your pregnancy! I was in the exact same boat as you a few years back and this is what you have to do.
So as you say, you are now estranged from your mother due to the pregnancy and since you are keeping your baby this situation is unlikely to change therefore you would qualify as an estranged full-time student who would qualify for the maximum student finance loan which would include your rent, bills and maintenance for uni.
You need someone is a teacher or civil worker to fill out the form below: https://www.sfengland.slc.co.uk/estrangement/#:~:text=To%20be%20considered%20irreconcilably%20estranged,we%20will%20consider%20all%20cases.
They would have to fill this out with you explain the situation and vouch for your circumstances, I got one of my old teachers at college to help me with this, usually you would have to be estranged from one parent for 12 months or more but they will consider all applications regardless. Is your father around or are you estranged from him? Explain you are homeless and have no family support, they should approve this for this year or the next.
Also, once you have your baby you would be eligible for a childcare grant that is non-repayable from SFE and you would also be eligible to apply for UC for the childcare element of the benefit and you can also apply for milk & food vouchers and child benefit payments. I hope this helps you I know I know how stressful it can be and I'm here if you need any more information on this please let me know! I'm more than happy to help in any way I can 💐💐💐

Hey thank you very much honestly I have filled in the estrangement form last month I'm waiting for it to come back but I don't have help from nobody and I would also like to take a year out of studies from September but then I wouldn't have no student finance so I'm worried as to how I will afford a roof over my head. And some people have told me I could be still classified as a full time student and I'm so worried because I have to pay my rent of for the house I'm currently in and after I spend my student finance all on the rent I wont have no money till the next drop in April which scares me because I don't know how I will afford any rent is what I'm trying to say and no financial help because I'm a full time student and this situation is so scary

I think your only option really if you have absolutely no support is going to be to leave university for now and claim UC. You can go back to it, but for right now being able to pay your bills and keep yourself & your baby alive is the main thing.

You can claim UC as a full time student once you have a child however your UC will be reduced for your loan amount pound for pound.

I guess an option would be to drop out of your studies for a year, arrange a gap year and once its all been confirmed with paperwork sent to you from your university you can then contact UC and declare a change of circumstances in your claim (are you claiming UC currently, as in do you have an open account even if not receiving money?) and you will be entitled to receive a payment that will get you through until your first official UC payment. Another option would be to contact your local council/social services and explain your situation and they might be able to offer you assistance. Keep me updated 💐

Do you have any other family? Does the father and his family know?
