Do I really need a double buggy? Just baby wear newborn until 2yo doesn't need buggy naps & get a buggy board?

There was 2 years 3m between my two and my outnabout nipper 360 was amazing - I did a lot of walking every day though. Used it until my eldest was 3 and a bit and kept using it and putting my shopping in the other bit because I just love it as a pushchair 😂

Thanks all. Really tricky as I use London buses a lot and have a tiny flat so a double pram would be a massive pain for storing. But also walk everywhere...

My age gap was 2 years seven months and I didn’t bother but my DS was a great walker and pushchair naps were a thing of the distant past (in fact naps full stop were slowly phased out from that point onwards!)

But I can imagine if I’d had my children the other way round if you like DD would have needed the pushchair.

Mine are 22 months apart and we didn’t have a double - I didn’t want one kid hidden under the other in a tandem, and a side by side wouldn’t work (we live in London, get the tube a lot, and have a tiny hallway and car!) I had a carrier that could fit either child, so I would switch them round depending on who was asleep/what we were doing.
I think it works fine not having a double if you are happy to carry a lot, and if you don’t need to restrain the toddler.

Yes in most cases. Mine are 2 years apart and used the double until they were 2&4, safer and easier

Get one with an umbrella fold op, mine was cheap and suitable from 3 months rather than birth but i simply used the sling before that.

We are also in London. How far do you actually walk? When i thought about it, we do lots of walking but the distances were all very small and local, so for the most part, the buggy board was fine as it was multiple small walks, rather than long / all day walks. I got good at learning the back roads / cut throughs to stay away from the main roads as well.
