Is it possible to feel baby move at 13 weeks?

Hey!
Im just over 13 weeks pregnant with my second baby. I definitely feel like my bump has popped much sooner than with my first and I’m also feeling flutters (especially in the evening) in my stomach. Could it be I’m feeling the baby move this early? It’s more like flutters/ little pulses rather than wind…

It's unusual but not unheard of.

I started feeling flutters with my second at 13/14 weeks. I’m 25 weeks now and it was 100% the start of feeling baby.

I think it’s unusual that early but if it’s not your first time you know what you’re feeling if you’re tuned into your body. In comparison I didn’t feel anything with my first until 19 weeks. Both anterior placentas. Think it depends on position of baby too.

I would have previously said no but this pregnancy (second) I definitely started feeling him towards the end of 13 weeks. First at the beginning of that week but doubted myself. By the end of the week I was certain and have felt him move pretty much every day since. To start with it was only when I was lying still on my left side. Could well be!

I'm fairly sure I felt my second this early on. Like you, I felt like I had a bump a lot sooner than my first. And I recognised the same sort of fluttery feeling.

Thanks for your messages. It really does feel like it! Also not sure if it makes a difference but I’m quite thin naturally so wondering if a small frame also contributes to feeling movement early

Yes, I've had 4 and definitely felt baby move by my 12 week scan with this last one, enough that I was confident that he was in there instead of going to the 12 week scan to see if the pregnancy was viable.

I lost my baby boy in September at 19 weeks, but I could feel him moving from 15 weeks. I was laying in bed one night and it was absolutely unmistakable, a little thump from within. I said to my husband it felt like someone gently flicking a rubber band against the inside of my belly. Those gentle movements progressed and a few days before I went into premature labour, he was visibly moving my belly with his kicks and my husband could also feel him move.

Apparently it's quite early for that to happen, especially as a first timer, but I could well believe it possible to feel them earlier if you're attuned to it, I had a posterior placenta, which I think helped.
