Taking younger children to anti-natal appointments?

I have no one to look after my 14 month old while I go to my 28 week check up today.

I am going to have to take her with me, or cancel, which I cant really do as my midwife is off on long term sick, and appointments are rare right now! (no cover)

Maybe I can take her in, in her pushchair?

I took my 13 month old DS with me to my booking in appt. The MW had some toys for him to play with and generally let him crawl around the floor. He found the bed most interesting.

I'm sure it will be fine.

they're used to it

have had to take dd2 with us a couple of times this year and although she nearly wrecked the place (ill and overtired in our defence) they didn't bat an eyelid

take a couple of things you know keep her amused or a snack - they'll have stuff in there too probably

Of course you can. Lots of women have no one else to look after their DCs when they go to their appts

Thanks for the reasurrance

Its taken me 3 weeks to get this appointment, since last check up been ringing every day. Like I say with no cover, there is nothing!

I only got this appointment through community midwife, and she agreed to come in early so I could be added to her list today!

Think I am a bit stressed

Now work have messed dh about, and he wont be home (whole other stressful story)

won't do anything for your blood pressure if you're stressed, just relax and enjoy your apt

I know I need to chill!
