Early scan concerns - small for dates

Looking for similar stories and wondering about outcomes. I am 10 weeks pregnant based on my ovulation date ( confirmed with ovulation strips) . Had three early scans so far showing the expected growth between scans but all of them put me about one week behind what I would expect based on my ovulation date. I am worried. Has this happened to you and if so what was the outcome.

They are measuring something that’s mm big; it really isn’t that accurate! Don’t worry about it for now.

Yep, it actually happened with all 4 of mine. I was either a few days out or a full week or so out, even though I tracked and knew when I ovulated and whatnot. It's really common for this to happen, like PP said, measurements at this point aren't very accurate at all. Don't worry x

My first scan I would have been 8+2 based on LMP/flo app date but baby actually only measured 6+1.

She's caught up a bit since then and settled at 10 days behind (I'm now 22+4). I wasn't physically tracking but I do have long and sometimes irregular cycles so LMP date isn't accurate for me.

I know they say at early scans it's normal to measure up to a week different either way. That's why the 12 week one is the 'dating scan' where you get official due date. The main thing for you is that baby is growing proportionately between each scan.

Thank you, trying not to worry but always good to hear others' stories. I am an older mum so I am naturally more anxious about this pregnancy

Out of three pregnancies, for two of them (my first and last) I measured small for dates. For the first one she was smallish at birth (6lb 1oz) but still within the normal range and she is now 22, my height which is 5ft 7in and very slim with long legs. I enjoyed the extra growth scans I had. My youngest measured small for dates but was my biggest baby at 7lbs 8oz and he is average. My middle one who didn't measure small for dates is 6ft 2in. I always had a small bump and carried neatly and I really do think the measuring can only be approximate. For my first pregnancy I worried (unnecessarily) and by the last one I didn't care and used it as an excuse to eat the chips and carbs I craved.

It’s really only a concern if they are concerned. A week doesn’t sound like too much of a discrepancy to me but I’m not an expert.

Is the growth consistent? That's all they will be concerned about

No they weren't concerned, and the growth was consistent but sometimes with early pregnancy they just treat it as a pretty unpredictable and non exact science I find, which it probably is

Yes the growth was as expected in both intervals. Going for another scan on Monday and hopefully things will have continued to progress. Will update on here

Thank you, I guess I am talking about a much earlier stage but good to know about your experience:)
