Hi guys, so I gave birth around 3 months ago now with no issues. However I noticed I started to get like a heavy pain in my vagina and I decided to have a feel around felt a big bulge lump inside, my and my boyfriend can both see it. I did research and saw it could be a prolapse and it looks like it. I saw my gp today and she said there’s no prolapse there’s it’s just changes from having a Vaginal delivery. I did stress to her that this lump was not there a few weeks ago and everything felt normal before. I’m not sure if she believes me and just thinks that it’s nothing there’s. I’m at a lost of what to do. I’m thinking of having to pay for a private gynaecologist to have a look. Did anybody else find themselves in a this situation!?

After having DS I had a minor prolapse and it was such an uncomfortable feeling so I completely understand. Mine came on pretty quickly after birth and tbh I think it was when I was constipated as I'm sure I felt it happening. I went to the GP who confirmed but told me to work on pelvic floor and basically this happens after birth. I ended up paying for a private physio who gave me exercises to do. I initially had a mummy MOT with the physio. I also did a specific postpartum pilates class that I could take baby to. Both of those as well as time I think helped as the feeling left after a few months. I'm pregnant again and scared of the same thing happening so trying to remember to do my pelvic floor exercises. I know it doesn't really feel like it does do anything but try to do them as they do help. It's maybe worth booking a mummy MOT too as they'll be able to help and have a lot more experience in these sorts of issues. Good luck!

Try pelvic floor exercises, things can lose tone down there after a delivery. Unless it's a really bad prolapse they will only offer exercises anyway. There are ops available, but usually only if you are much older and it's a serious prolapse causing problems.
