Could do with a little hope that it can happen and ideas on what we could try 🤞🏻

Thanks all! Think I might take a break from tracking/OPKs over Christmas. Still taking a million vitamins etc (read It Starts With The Egg!) but perhaps just a break from the rest. Have had a very stressful year so think that could be part of it

You'll always have stress, there will always be something and women still conceive in the most stressful situations, so don't imagine everything has to be zen to get pregnant! However, it is possible to get a bit obsessed, so dialling it down with all the sticks etc is probably wise.
There are some good ideas on here, can't harm to try, but remember correlation isn't causation.

This is true - although it’s been major stress (inc bereavements and conflict plus the usual life stuff) and my periods were affected (got really scant, slowly getting back to normal) so I do think it might have played a part, but yes you are right about causation

Thanks all - I’ve taken from this: chill out a bit, and look at a fertilily/cup and preeseed/conceive plus. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

It's played a part, as you say, if your periods were affected. I hope all is back to normal now.
It's tricky not to get a bit obsessed though, so anything you can do to look after yourself is a bonus. Good luck 👍

With DD1, it took nearly 6 months. The issue was that we were not trying soon/often enough. My best days were much earlier in my cycle than I realised. (NB: I wasn't using any tracking or ovulation testing) So when DH was going to be away, we gave it the old college try the night before he left and voila.

When I wanted to go for DC2, I tested this theory and we were lucky the first time. (Well, DH was a little disppointed b/c he had been hoping for a 'long campaign' - his words :)

🫢😂

For me, nothing. On my 4th pregnancy (unfortunately 3 losses), they've taken 2.5 years, 6 months, 9 months, 6 months. Had all the tests, nothing is wrong, all my results are normal...just not someone who gets pregnant easily 🤷

malimoon · 27/11/2024 21:59

Nothing different, just happened on month 7. Six months isn't a crazily long time to try although I do empathise that every month is disappointing... But it doesn't mean it won't happen next time around

I gave up drinking alcohol and caffeine, ate a healthier diet and used a Clearblue fertility monitor rather than the electric sticks, which showed mucccch more accurate results. Worked a treat. Keep trying, it will happen!

Cut back on coffee, worked on the second month
