NYE in rural mountains at 31 weeks

Hello
My partner and I are planning on spending NYE in the Alps with about 10 friends and we have booked a gîte.
I am just planning on going for the ‘après-ski’ in the evening, eating nice food and reading by the fire during the day while others go skiing and hiking (there will also be two couples with young children so they will also be doing very chilled activities during the day)
I just have a niggling worry about being so isolated at this stage in pregnancy- I will be 31 weeks pregnant and the nearest hospital with maternity ward would be a two hour car ride away (also the nearest hospital at all). It will also be a 4.5 car ride for us to get there (a friend warned me that this could trigger early contractions??)

What do people think, is this risky or am I exaggerating? Plenty of women live in rural areas like this… but I am a natural worrier!

The gîte is by the road so direct access to the car but it’s very rural, not in a ski station so no medical facilities around.

So far my pregnancy is not high risk… placenta was low lying but it has now moved up.

(I have an appt with my doctor next week so will be asking his advice about this too but wanted to get people’s thoughts)

Personally I wouldn’t be worried about this at 31 weeks assuming it’s a typical healthy pregnancy with no additional risks or concerns. We went away to a remote lodge when I was I think 32/33 weeks and other than checking where the nearest hospital was I didn’t think anything of it really! I’d feel differently if you were 35+ weeks or if there were other factors that make you high risk but at 31 in a straightforward situation I wouldn’t be worried.

In an emergency if you called for help they would most likely send a helicopter. I live in the Alps, though not in France, and emergencies are generally airlifted.
