Gahhh, been counting down to the elusive 12 week guide for feeling better.

And.I.dont

Still feeling horrendous nausea, zero energy and breathless doing simple tasks.

Help me Mumsnet, I'm done with this!

Ps, this is light hearted as I know 12 weeks isnt set in stone and I could be like this for weeks yet (possibly all through 😫)

Just having a rant

Sorry you're feeling so rubbish, I remember this so well. Sorry to tell you but for me I didn't feel 100% better until 17 weeks😣 I made the decision to get meds prescribed to deal with the vomiting and nausea so that definitely made things easier. Find 'safe' foods and drinks that work for you. Having something small in your system very often rather than trying to eat actual meals can be good. Rest whenever you can - after work, bed early, lie ins at the weekend (if at all possible). And zero expectations on yourself. Not sure if you have other kids or anything which is of course harder but for me it was my first and was able to slow down a lot
Hang in there, consider meds and it does get better!!

Keep going, hopefully it’s a matter of days/weeks until you improve.

In my first the sickness stopped at 14 weeks. Felt great by 16/17 weeks.

Im pregnant again and while the nausea/sickness stopped at 9/11weeks (debatable when due to a bad cold), the tiredness has got worse and I’m at 17 weeks with no energy.

I’m 15 weeks and SO much better than I was at 12 weeks. Still exhausted, no energy, no motivation, but much more manageable with the nausea/vomiting/breathlessness.

For me it got a lot better by 16 weeks, but I continued feeling rubbish to some extent throughout my pregnancy. Some people love being pregnant, but for me it was like being ill for the best part of a year! That said, it's a short time in your life, and you'll have your baby forever, so you just need to get through it. It will be over soon enough. Best of luck x

I’m sorry - I counted down to 12 weeks too and felt better at (I think) 16,18 and 21 weeks. - it got longer each time. It does pass, it is horrible but it is worth it. Mine are 19,17 and 12 now. And I am grateful for every day I don’t have morning sickness.
