Thanks for clicking! I'm 24+3 and over the past week my discharge has increased about double the amount to usual. The same discharge I've had the whole time (colour and consistency) but just way more often. I keep feeling very wet down below. Occasionally I wipe and it's clearly wee (pale yellow and smells of wee) but a few times I've wiped and it's been clear and a little dischargey no smell. I've read other threads and seen midwife recommended to put a pad in and if it's not wet within an hour it's not your waters slowly going. I've put a panty liner in and it's dry with the occasional spot of wee.

Had similar happen about 17 weeks but it stopped within a week (I didn't contact anyone about it as thought it was normal) I'm just concerned now as I've seen it can be your waters leaking.

I keep feeling like I really need a wee but only a dribble comes out.

Baby's movements are fine (he has no pattern yet) but still moving plenty.

Had a private 4D scan 2 days ago and the report said fluid level was normal..the sonographer even pointed out how much fluid he had to move around in as I mentioned he felt like he was always kicking in different places.

I have my 25 week midwife appointment on Monday.

  1. This is normal no need to worry
  2. Mention it to midwife on Monday but don't worry for now as movements are fine and I've had no gushing of liquid
  3. Call Maternity Assessment unit tonight - don't want to just call and waste time if this is normal?

Thanks in advance :)

Obviously mention it to the midwife but it’s totally normal. I used to carry spare pants in my handbag!

Came back to say if you’re at all concerned just call the MAU. They’ll speak to you before asking you to come in.

I think I may..but I am a severe worrier! I go to the toilet to wipe, feel dry for all of 2 seconds stand up and I feel wet again..not enough to leak onto a panty liner though. I'm worried but surely if I was leaking it would've been obvious on ultrasound that fluid levels were low..

You need a Physio referral to stop leaking of urine. Your midwife can sort this for you.

Option 3. My discharge increased at 19 weeks and I thought it was just because I had BV but I was on antibiotics do didn't panic. I went into labour and lost the babies. I would urge anyone who has a change in discharge to be checked over. Its not worth the risk.

Thanks for taking time to reply! I just called the labour ward as MAU shuts at 7pm here and she asked me to come in so they can do some test just to be double sure but also said increase of discharge and watery discharge is very normal for some people. I'll pop to the hospital soon when DP is home!
