Co existing ectopic pregnancy

Hi everyone just wanted to see if anyone has been in the same boat as me as apparently my pregnancy could be a very rare one, I’ll start from the beginning,
tried for a baby and was successful after one month, so found out very early ,
but had so many symptoms from sickness bloating, back pain , acid reflux all before testing. At around 4 weeks I had spotting , shoulder pain and bad lower back pain on one side and went to hospital to be checked, bloods and hog levels came back fine, no infection was shown, was sent for a scan and at 4 weeks they said they could see a yok sack in my uterus and a smooth walled area in my right ovary and on my form said a co existing ectopic pregnancies couldn’t be ruled out , meaning one baby in my uterus and one ectopic baby. I was re scanned 10 days after or so and I’m not 6 weeks 4 days .
at this appointment I’m told and shown baby in the uterus and heartbeat was 144, and they said I still have something in my right ovary and said the measurements. I was told to wait out side for a doctor, I waited almost 2 hours to be called in , they asked if my pains were still there and I said no as they weren’t anymore , my pain 10 days ago was a solid 7/10 - 10 being the worst - but now I felt no pain and just general pregnancy symptoms like tiredness and sickness , they again said they can’t rule a co existing ectopic pregnancy out because they’re is something growing in my right ovary but because I’m no longer in pain I’ve been booked in for a 12 week scan. They did say it could just be a cyst in my ovary and not a baby , but they wait now to find out and the fact is very rare and can be easily looked over , when it could be something dangerous is scary to think. I have my booking appointment with my midwife and will talk to her but just wanted to see is that right ? For me to be left with a possible ectopic pregnancy and had any one had anything similar. This is my second baby and never heard anything like it .

also wondering if I book a private scan around 9 weeks would I be able to ask them to check my ovary to see if the ‘area’ had grown or do I wait for the re scan at 12 weeks

thank yo

you should be kept under the care of the EPU and regularly scanned / reviewed till they can diagnose or rule out a heterotopic pregnancy

I would demand more scans from the NHS to be honest, it seems incredibly odd they've not offered to do this. I'd phone back on Monday to speak to them

If there is an ectopic that is a big problem. You need to get it sorted out. Do not be complacent about it.

ditto what others have said.

and if you do go for private scan, find a qualified gynae consultant rather than just a ‘pregnancy scan clinic’ as the latter will just look at your womb and won’t give any broader medical advice. The former will do full pelvic scan and then specialist doctor will interpret results/advise.

That's really bizarre and dangerous of them to leave you without follow up with no definitive diagnosis. Any suspected ectopic is religiously monitored. I'd be seriously questioning that doctor's judgement and demand a better follow up plan. Don't let this go. Hope it turns out to be nothing and all goes really well for you, but they can't just ignore it until they know for certain.
