any one have any tips for chronic fatigue? i am 28 weeks pregnant and can barely get through the day. i sleep so deeply i wake up and feel like i am hungover. i feel like this all day, straining to keep my eyes open and just want to sit or lie down all the time (which i can't do as i have a toddler and i work 4 days a week
)
just think this tiredness is abnormal.

Nope fraid it's not, I'm 26 weeks and absolutely sodding knackered all the time. DD is 18 months old and it's as much as I can do to keep my eyes open while watching her blaze trails of destruction .

Having said I'm really anaemic and have been on spatone so hopefully it will get a bit better. Perhaps you should get a blood test to check?

heya... i had glandular fever a year ago and still get very tired from the effects of this and im suffereing from really bad anemia. Baby is due in 5 weeks which is frightening as i have a 10 month old and no energy. I find my best weapon is routine. I give myself managable tasks to achieve throughout the day and i always try and rest when ds is napping. The worst thing to do is sit around as it doesnt make you feel any better and i personally end up getting depressed in the evenings as i feel i have achieved nothing. also gentle exercise has been found to help cronic fatigue... perhaps you could take your little one swimming. I did try the whole eating well thing and drinking only water for while but when ur knackered sometime the last thing you want to do is cook a meal... so i try and go to my mums for a decent meal once a week or something like that. it is really difficult tho. especially when you have people looking in from the outside and making rude comments about the fact that you havnt done any housework for a week. sod their comments i say. Just try and experiment with different things to boost your energy levels and cheer yourself up. also if you google chronic fatigue and glandular fever there are some really good site that will give you great advice on how to boost you mood and energy levels. hope that helps. dont do what i do... on a bad day me and the ben and jerry's boys usually have a bit of a run in and after 34 weeks of pregnancy its now starting to take effects of my waist!!!

thanks for your messages guys. my blood test results have come back and there is nothing untoward so I guess I just have to manage it.
i think i'll try swimming with my little man and not attacking the ben and jerry guys!
