To add to my pp I tried everything - spinning babies, reflexology, moxibustion - but no movement. There is very little risk from a planned c section - they have to go through risks with you because it's a surgery, but they don't have to go through the risks of vaginal birth(with or without breech) with you because it's "natural". Agree it's worth talking to a senior midwife or Dr about your risks. My doc wasn't keen on breech vaginal birth because of various risks to baby (& risk of emergency c) so that - plus the idea that I'd tried and baby clearly didn't want to move - made my mind up.

Didn't try ecv as know someone who ended up needing emergency c after having it and the success rate is pretty low and it can b v painful - but good to hear some positive stories about it on here

I had a vaginal breech birth. Baby was small though might have been different if he was bigger. I really didn't want a cesarean though.

Also mine came early too and quick.

Tried ECV, didn’t work, had the CS. It went well. With the second baby who was also breech I had a planned CS. That also went very smoothly.

I declined the ECV and baby did not turn naturally. Opted for a planned section but went into labour naturally before the date and baby was delivered by emergency c-section due to being footling breech. I think had baby been extended breech (bottom down) I’d have been advised to deliver naturally as labour was progressing so quickly, but the type of breech position will possibly affect the advice you’re given too.

I have a septate uterus so had two breeches. Tried ECV with first but it was an awful experience for me, so was a definite no second time. Two smooth CS.

Mine was breech until 36 weeks and turned after lots of spinning babies exercises, moxibustion and a couple of trips to the osteopath. Had a beautiful homebirth in the end. I would have personally opted for a CS if he hadn't turned but a vaginal breech birth is definitely not per say a bad idea. It depends on your own mindset and how skilled the birth team around you is
