My girlfriend hasn't gotten her period yet. We had sex 25 days ago on Oct 4. Her last period was on Sept 17, and the one before on Aug 12. She has a history of highly irregular cycles ranging from 34-44 days to start with . While having sex too, I made sure the the condom never broke, the penis was never even close to the vagina and I came in the condom way outside her vagina- in the washroom. Should I be worried of pregnancy?

Based on what you've written, no.

Is there any other vague possibility??

Why doesn't she just take a test? Pregnancy occurs when sperm fertilises an egg, and if there's been no chance of that then no she isn't pregnant?

Her parents don't know that we are dating and if they Happen to, it will be a big big trouble. Also she stays with family so she can't take a test also

Okay well there is no way pregnancy can happen unless sperm goes inside. Unfortunately if you want a clear answer a test is the only thing you can do. MumsNet can only give advice we aren't doctors or nurses

The only way pregnancy happens is if sperm actually enters the vagina.

She could do a test elsewhere, at work for example?

She's a student (25F) and I am working (23M). I haven't asked her to do one, as she is having exams now and also I don't want to freak her out by saying my thoughts.

If sperm has no entered the vagina then there is no way she is pregnant, can I ask why your so worried if you know you haven't done that?

Maybe it's the novelty of it. We have only done it thrice, and I am a very careful man. I love her very dearly, and don't want any miniscule mistake to affect our lives in a major way. Is it bad to think in such a way?

I'm not saying it's bad, however your both adults and should know how a baby is made, it sounds as if you are very careful. I do think though you should speak to her about it, she knows her body better than anyone. And again to rule it out she would be best to take a pregnancy test
