Pregnancy Discrimination or not?

I told my boss I was pregnant at 4 weeks (I have the type of job which i could be at risk if i didnt inform them early). When I asked about policy with morning sickness my boss said "oh I have no sympathy with morning sickness, I had it bad with both mine and just carried on"

I had to really ask for a risk assessment to be done and when we eventually sat down my boss said "your pregnant, not dying, you can carry on as normal for now" she then fought me on every step of the risk assessment (it should be noted she doesnt actually do the job i do, she is simply a HR manager)

My DR booked me an early scan due to a complication which happened at the end of my last pregnancy. My boss made another comment of "I suppose that's good, some people just want to be pregnant so much they imagine all their symptoms and then go for a scan and nothing is there"

Is it just me or are all these comments unacceptable for a manager to make???

Any suggestions or thoughts??

Wtf this person is a HR Manager and is talking to you like that?
This is completely unacceptable, inappropriate and rude. What is the structure of your company, is there someone above her, are there other colleagues within the HR team? This is bullying and you need to raise a formal grievance.

Thank you!
I have a meeting with her boss tomorrow morning as my manager is off until Thursday. I had planned to discuss this with her but wasn't sure whether I had grounds to make it a formal complaint or whether I was being over sensitive

100 percent disgusting and highly offensive! If you had ever suffered a blighted ovum form as I have, a missed miscarriage found at a 12 week scan this would be even worse. She should be sacked. What a dreadful thing to say to you. She is unfit for post. Sorry you had to out up with her x

No, you are absolutely not being over sensitive!
I'm a HR Manager and if an employee came to me and said their manager had been saying the things to them that she's been saying to you I would be really taken aback and not impressed. Regarding the examples you mentioned, you are legally entitled to time off for medical appointments relating to your pregnancy (midwife appointments, consultant appointments, scans etc), pregnancy related sickness is also not counted towards your sickness record and should be taken seriously because it can be debilitating. Pregnancy risk assessments are a legal requirement for a business. Her personal opinions on your pregnancy are irrelevant and her own personal pregnancy experience isn't yours or anyone else's.

I worked in HR for some time and my Manager was the same. No sympathy for any illness or accidents her staff were in. One guy had a car crash and called in to inform her he had whiplash and not well and she was upset he didn't come in as it wasn't serious she said. The worst offenders are always HR management and this was the NHS!

Yes everything she has said is unnaceptable.
