I'm 10 + 4 weeks today, yesterday I noticed that I didn't feel as icky as usual and similar today, boobs are sore, feeling hungry. Can this be normal, I know every pregnancy is different, symptoms can fluctuate.

@Rainbowsunshine81 hello! I’ve no idea what’s normal but I’m noticing things starting to improve from 10 weeks too. Eg I’m ok in morning and sick in afternoon as opposed to all day sickness.

toastofthetown · 25/10/2024 11:42

My symptoms eased up at 9/10 weeks for a couple of weeks, came back and then the icky/nausea went again by about 15 weeks.

It is very common for symptoms to come and go and also ease for a few days et as you near the 2nd trimester. But one lesson I learned is it is not a good indicator to use to predict how the pregnancy is progressing as I've had both outcomes.

ThePodParent · 25/10/2024 12:47

(Obviously can't predict what it means, but...) my sickness and exhaustion etc have eased off from 10 weeks in both previous (successful) pregnancies. I've just found out that I'm pregnant with hopefully my third bub and am already looking forward to the 10/11 week point when I'll hopefully start to feel better! So hopefully all is well :)

@Blossomofhope I just remember with my son, I started feeling better round 12 weeks and I know each pregnancy is different. I've been feeling reassured with feeling icky. Last night was when I felt a bit sick, but wasn't.

@ThePodParent I think I'm overly anxious as I've had times where it hasn't been a good outcome and this is a ivf pregnancy that has been a long journey. I've been feeling reassured with the icky feeling. Just go over every little thing.

@Mum23boys1987 I've been there with the not good outcomes previously so that's why I've been feeling anxious this time.

@toastofthetown Having these has been giving me some reassurance. Feeling quite anxious a lot of the time.

I completely understand. I’m the same. It’s been a long road to get here with failed ivf cycles and miscarriages along the way. Even today I’ve woke up feeling ok and I immediately think should I be worried. I think over time we will feel more reassured. 🙂

Rainbowsunshine81 · 25/10/2024 13:52

@Blossomofhope similar journey to you, been on this journey since 2020, failed ivf cycles, previous miscarriages. Hopefully feel bit more reassured after the 12th week scan ❤️

Many ladies find their symptoms start to ease up when the placenta takes over around 10-12 weeks.

Alternatively, it could just be your body lulling you into a false sense of security. My symptoms seemed to disappear overnight around the same time but came back with a vengeance at 11 weeks and I was sicker than ever!

Rainbowsunshine81 · 25/10/2024 18:35

@sel2223 I'll be 11 weeks on Monday. Just want everything to continue being OK.

I know it's hard to shake the worry but honestly, symptoms or lack of them have no bearing on whether a pregnancy is healthy and viable or not.

Some women have hardly any symptoms and go on to have very healthy babies, others have extreme symptoms then turn up at a scan to find they have had a missed miscarriage.

For most women, symptoms will come and go, especially in the first trimester. It's completely normal.

Rainbowsunshine81 · 25/10/2024 20:29

@sel2223 it is hard to shake the worry. It's true what you have said about the symptoms and have been reading how symptoms can come and go in the first trimester.

Sorry to hear you have had loss too there so difficult mine is recent after healthy pregnancies so I can only imagine the anxiety it may bring if/when we fall pg again. But as you know symptoms don't predict all my healthy bubs I either had few or none and with my loss I had them all wham bam and they eased towards finding out we had lost. Try to remain focused today you are still pregnant and everything is going to be ok goodluck x

@Mum23boys1987 I'm really sorry to hear that, it's so hard ❤️ trying to be positive. Thank you ❤️ xx
