Incorrect height and weight

My booking appointment was a bit all over the place. The wrong bloods were taken, not all the correct information was filled in and several things missed. I know this as at my 12 week appointment they had to redo my bloods and mentioned missing info.

My BMI is also over 30 (just). I know my BMI is higher but it’s never been over 30. I recall at the booking appointment she mentioned my height and I mentioned that it seemed around 5cm shorter than my height actually is and I thought she had remeasured me.

i can see the weight recorded is correct and when I calculate my BMI based on my correct weight and height it is around 28/29 so higher but not above 30. Which suggests she possibly didn’t remeasure my height.

is it worth asking for my weight and height to be re measured at my next midwife appointment or just stick with the higher BMI? It has meant I need a gestational diabetes test which I wouldn’t need if my BMI was below 30.

I'd probably ask them to update it because you don't know what it could trigger down the road. I think 30+ is a trigger point for various things like GD testing, possible extra scans etc. Mine is over 30 and I'm consultant led because of it!

You can refuse the GD test btw if you don't want to do it.

For me personally, I'd be happy with extra checks and appointments.
It won't do any harm to have a slightly higher BMI recorded, you'll just get a bit more attention
