Currently 3rd pregnancy- unplanned
been feeling hugely nauseous since 2 weeks before missed period so was a give away

Suffered HG with first severe HG hospitalisation with second. Can feel it's going that way again.

I need some advice on food, so the only thing I can stomach at present is toast and ready salted crisps, however I have multiple intolerances and Crohn's disease. So although these heavy carbs are marginally helping the sickness it's causing bloating, bad joints, gas, water swelling etc during my first pregnancy it also led to al lot weight loss then weight gain which again I really struggled with

is there anything anyone else can suggest that may help, anythjng acidy is a no go due to being painful, bad on teeth to throw up
🤮

So sorry to hear you’re going through this again. Did you have any medication last time? A new one is xonvea which i was on recently and although it didn’t make the nausea and vomiting disappear it helped enough for me to be able to drink water and eat a bit

I had ondansetron oral melts (so no tablet to vomit back up, they melt on your tongue) with DC2, it really made a difference on the days I used it.

Also with DC1, very small amounts of porridge and plain rice were about all I could cope with, are either of these foods you can tolerate?

I really hope you find something that eases it.

Contact pregnancy sickness support
They can match you with a peer supporter. Possibly one with Crohn's 🤞🏼

I was prescribed medication last time but it made me feel worse, I got so dizzy from it that I just had to lay down and sleep, which wasn't easy with a toddler. I ended up not taking it as I wasn't confident I could parent while on it! Not sure what it was though I'd have to check with the drs! Thank you

@MiraculousLadybug Porridge is a no go, but funnily enough I did buy rice today to see if I could manage that instead of bread, I'll give it a go thanks ☺️

Sending hugs, I'm so sorry 😔 you WILL get through this though - baby isn't far away (although I know it feels it now) 🥰

I got myself hospitalised quickly the second time around, having my body pumped full of electrolytes and hydration allowed me to feel a little less zombie like/dead. That first IV of cyclizine 😍 So, I'd recommend getting down to A and E if you're feeling on deaths door - when I'd been in for 48 hours it became easier to stomach the ondansetron and ultimately the rest of the pregnancy wasn't quite as horrific.

If you're not at this stage yet, flat coke. 💞
