Measuring one day behind what does it mean?

Hi I’m measuring one day behind. Had IVF so 100% certain of my dates, I should measure exactly 12 weeks at my 12 weeks scan date but I measured 11+6. What does that mean? Should I be worried?

Thank you in advance.

Absolutely no reason to be worried, they obviously try to be as accurate as possible when they're measuring but it's not possible to be 100%. When they take measurements there'll be left with a few different gestation dates and they usually find the 'average'. I've never measured exactly correct on a scan!

I have always been -1/2 days behind or +1/2 days ahead of when I ovulated. I tracked. The sonographer has said three days can be normal. I say always it’s my second pregnancy to reach past 12 weeks so all of two times.

I put a star but it’s made it bold instead.

One day means absolutely nothing.

They are measuring a small thing through layers of skin and muscle (and in my case, fat). A tiny difference in where they measure from/to wil make the difference of a day in sizing. It sounds like everything is going well, and you should be getting newborn snuggles in 6 months time.

Definitely no need to be worried, the dates they give you are very much an estimate. Babies aren't born all the same size, and they're not exactly the same size at 12 weeks either.

Mine was an IVF pregnancy too, I measured 3 days ahead at the 12 week scan. Baby turned up on exact NHS due date.
Good luck x
