This is baby no.2. When I was pregnant with baby no.1 I had a little sickness but nothing major.

I am 9 weeks tomorrow with baby no.2 and I AM FLOORED. I’m literally curled up on the sofa (meant to be working from home today) and I can’t move for feeling sick. Every time I move it gets worse. I’m usually so particular about the housework and at the minute I don’t care that there are cups and plates and toys lying about out of place. Anyone else feel this rough??

Baby number 2 has done me dirty too 😂 I'm 18 weeks, still taking 1 anti sickness in the morning and still being sick on the odd occasion!
Please contact your GP you don't have to suffer xx

You sound like you have HG. Please call the gp and get some medication, there's lots of different ones they can try. They don't always completely take it away but they can help. If you get dehydrated go to the hospital x

You need some medication. If it makes you sleepy take it at tea-time so you can hopefully get some supper in, a decent sleep then breakfast. Don't ignore the sickness and end up really poorly. It's a wretched condition. 🌸

Take time off sick and go to the drs for meds.
I have a tricky time with pregnancy sickness and even with meds there were days where I could even sit up. On those days all I could manage was emailing my line manager and checking my emails once or twice to let people know I wouldn't be attending a meeting. I had days where the meds made more of a difference and I could attend a few meetings and keep up with urgent work and days where I felt almost human and able to work around the vomiting. I had 5 weeks of barely working before my pregnancy ended.
I had already told my boss, one of my colleagues I answer to knew as she heard me being sick on an office day and I told the other colleague I answer to as there was a strong possibility that I wouldn't be able to complete some work. It helped to know that they wouldn't think I was slacking off and they were all really understanding

I found number 2 made me more sick too.
No idea if true, but apparently girls have this effect.

Yeah my first was a boy. My mum funny was very sick with myself and my sister but was fine with my two brothers. If I had to hedge my bets I’d say this is a girl

Also sailed through my first pregnancy with my son and second time around (girl) has absolutely floored me, I am right at the end now and for me, the nausea lasted the entire pregnancy, slightly better on some days after 16 weeks but hasn't ever gone completely. I can't WFH so it's been hard, not actually vomiting but the nausea is constant. Medicine hasn't helped for me, I think I've just learned to live with it and tried to make the best of a shitty situation - snacking when needed, getting early nights where possible and regular exercise seems to help. I notice it less when I'm busy/running about after my son, worst is sitting at my desk at work and definitely had many days when I've just collapsed on the couch after work. Good luck OP, hope yours clears up quicker than mine did!
