6 weeks pregnancy symptoms normal?

I am 6 weeks and have had sore boobs and a watery mouth since 4 weeks, the last 3 days I have been feeling pretty rotten, I’ve been dry heaving through out the day but not physically being sick, I’ve had really strange fuzzy headaches and just overall don’t feel well at all, is this normal? I’ve also been feeling really tired.

I can’t put my finger on exactly what I’m feeling but I just feel really off and feel like I need to be on the sofa for most of the day as I don’t feel well, I’ve also struggled eating my main meals and have had to really force myself to eat them with no enjoyment.

i was pregnant last year and sadly had a missed miscarriage, I don’t remember feeling this bad, I just had sickness but felt okay.

are these normal pregnancy feelings?

thanks

Hello! Congratulations. Unfortunately yes feeling this crap is totally normal. Both of my pregnancies these symptoms kicked in around 6 weeks. Expect food aversions, nausea, vomiting, feeling dizzy etc. Your body has to get used to a lot of intense hormonal changes and can react in a lot of less than appetising ways sadly. But all good signs for a healthy pregnancy! 😁

Thanks for your response, that makes me feel a lot better, although I feel so rotten I’m so grateful to be feeling this way, I think I was just surprised how it’s suddenly hit me feeling so unwell.

I’ve got to get through work tomorrow!

hopefully all good signs then x

I remember thinking exactly the same. It hit me one Friday evening after having a takeaway and unfortunately stuck around for months 🤢. In terms of work, let them know if you feel comfortable as I found my boss was really accommodating. Eating little and often is the best way to curb the nausea even if you don't feel like it so take lots of snacks with you! And don't be afraid to speak to the doctor about anti sickness if it gets worse. Good luck! X

I found that the worse I felt, the more secure the pregnancy.

Every pregnancy is different but your current symptoms sound like mine and I'm now 15+ weeks.
This is my second pregnancy and I've felt absolutely rotten (and exhausted) the whole time - it's completely different to my first pregnancy

It’s interesting how different they are isn’t it! When did your symptoms mainly start of feeling rotten? I’ve woken up physically throwing up this morning

My first signs at 5 weeks were physically being sick, stomach ache, feeling dehydrated and feeling the most tired I've ever felt!

Since then the sickness has continued, horrendous headaches, runny nose for weeks and the latest has been mouth sores and ulcers!

All sounds totally normal to me! If it helps, I had no symptoms in the pregnancy which I lost at 11 weeks, and my current pregnancy I felt awful - was due last week! I hope it’s a good sign for you as well

Try not to worry. There is no correlation between the severity of symptoms (or lack of) and the viability of your pregnancy.

Good luck with your rainbow baby
