TW 4 weeks cramping and bleeding

I'm terrified, found out I was pregnant only 3 days ago around 4 weeks, today started with brown discharge but now red/light pink bleeding when wiping, not enough to get on underwear but enough that it is completely where when I wipe not just a few dots, been going on about 8-12 hours now.

I've also had mild cramps all day, not on one side or the other just general mild period like cramps that aren't going away.

Is the 3 days of thinking I was pregnant all I'm going to get?

My GP said there's no help they can give me, no tests etc (I know you can't prevent a miscarriage) but to just to wait and see what happens but I'm going genuinely insane and spiralling. Trying for over a year with PCOS, I was so happy, and now so sad.

I'm in the same situation.. positive test on 30th and cramping and what appears to look like start of period this evening ;(

Maybe implantation however not experienced this in previous pregnancies.

Extremely worried as I have all pmt symptoms and have previously miscarried (week 11).

Every pregnancy is different however I have always felt tenderness on breasts, this time round no sensation at all.

Hi ladies, didn't want to just read and run.
I'm so sorry you are both going through such an anxious time and hoping for a positive outcome for both of you

4-5wks is sadly prime time for a chemical pregnancy, however if it’s literally just brown/pink spotting it could feasibly also be implantation bleeding at the 4wk mark.

Having suffered an early miscarriage in my first pregnancy, when I started spotting this time around (a day after I’d had a positive test) I resigned myself to it being another miscarriage, but I’m now 20wks and just had my anomaly scan and all is fine, so spotting like this isn’t always cause for concern x

I had no spotting with my first pregnancy and it was a missed miscarriage however with my second pregnancy I had spotting on and off for weeks and currently siting with my 14 week old baby as a result hope that all is ok x

As previous posters have said, there is no way of knowing which way this will go and I know the wait is agonising :(.

I have had two chemical pregnancies which had bleeding around the 4 week mark but they were similar or slightly heavier than my normal period, with painful cramps and clots.

However having just been through this again recently, I wanted to share some positivity - got a positive pregnancy test and two days later started spotting, would have been about 4 weeks. I had light bleeding for 4 days (mainly when wiping but some visible on a pad too), had cramps, the blood was bright red at times and I literally assumed it was all over - even had a large glass of wine to commiserate. Bleeding never got heavier though and I took another pregnancy test which was still positive and a digital which had moved on from 1 - 2 to 2 - 3. Had an agonising wait until 6.5 weeks when I had a private scan and we saw tiny little baby and heartbeat and turns out the bleeding was a subchorionic haematoma, so have to take it easy but baby not affected. I'm now almost 10 weeks and obviously not out of the woods yet but hopefully gives you some hope that bleeding isn't always bad 💐. Sending positive thoughts and hope things go the way you want 😊

Thank you for your best wishes.

I've had severe cramping and clotting, sadly appears that I have had a what they call a chemical pregnancy.

Having had 2 positive home tests, I showed negative when tested at the hospital this evening. Guess this is positive as would show that the tissue has most likely passed through and not a risk to me (ectopic pregnancy etc).

Was advised that women are very fertile during a miscarriage and advised to be cautious.

Further advised to allow one period so womb is lined and can then try again..

Wishing you all good luck and a healthy pregnancy.

Pleased to hear your good news. I have heard a number of similar stories. It is very normal to link a bleed to a miscarriage especially if one has been through it before.

My first pregnancy 10 years ago was a misscariage followed by 2 healthy pregnancies and now this misscarriage.

Congratulations on the arrival of your little angel.

It's bizarre how pregnancies can be so different.

Awww bless you, this is so reassuring and I'm so pleased to hear such amazing news. Wish you all the best!

All thus trauma we mothers have to go through.

There's always some form of light at the end of the tunnel.
