Hi all,

We successfully conceived with the help of 🥹 and my doctor has prescribed me Cyclogest supp for 14 days. I have no history of MCs or bleeding.

Has anyone here had this without any history of miscarriages or past or present bleeding?

Thank you!

@hellomama1 I am 5 weeks pregnant thanks to the help of IVF and i’ve been taking cyclogest 400mg pessaries every 12hrs since 3 days (I think) pre transfer. They’ve told me to carry on until week 12 of pregnancy. I’ve never been pregnant before, no MC’s or anything. It’s just standard procedure in my clinic, in fact the first transfer we did (which unfortunately didn’t work) I had to inject myself with more progesterone for 14 days after combined with the cyclogest.
It’s just to stop the uterus from cramping and help prevent risk of bleeding/MC.
i know that it’s not the most pleasant thing but if it gets us a little baby at the end of it, it’s a small price to pay 💓 wishing you the best of luck 🍀

I was prescribed cyclogest after IVF, ICSI for 12 weeks. My clinic explained simply that you are on medication before and after to mimic the natural hormones your body would produce.

No history of miscarriage or bleeding, never been pregnant before this!

I've been prescribed this to help prevent pre-term labour. Need to take from 12-34 weeks. No history of miscarriage but did have my 1st child at 31 weeks. Taking the 1st one today and worried about how it's going to make me feel.
