Can anyone recommend a bra that would be comfortable as breasts grow and are tender during early pregnancy?

I went to bravissimo to get fitted properly. Nothing else has worked as well tbh, and the bra I bought is by far my favourite. I got fitted at about 15 weeks I think. I'm normally a 30 band, but was fitted into a 32 (34 way too big) and a cup size 2 sizes up. Only now at 32 weeks does the band feel a bit too tight and I've bought an extender to get me through the next few weeks before I go to get fitted for nursing bras.

Maternity bra fittings work differently to others, ie the band is fitted to fit on the tightest setting rather than the loosest, so you have room to let it out as your bump grows. It was also useful to have them use their judgement wrt what cup size would be best. I also chose an under wired bra, as these are usually the most comfortable for me, and it's still perfectly comfortable.

I also have a few cheapie m&S Flexifit bras, but tbh the support they give doesn't last very long and tends to be a bit monoboob. They're definitely knackered a few months after buying. I use for slobbing around the house, but no good for anything else anymore.

Thank you @Butterflyfern, I'll check Bravissimo and M&S :) x

The boux avenue ones are sooo comfortable!!! I find bras horrendous usually but I love these. They have a black and light blue one. The white one with pink hearts is really cute design but the hearts are sewn on in such a way that they show through thin tops!

Have you checked out boob or bust on Facebook?

I went into the boux Avenue lounge bras as was easier for breastfeeding & the wires were sore when sitting down with my bump - they have some helpful advice for maternity & bras on there as well as measuring correctly during pregnancy :-)
