Surely this pain isn't normal?

I'm in agony.
I am 35 weeks pregnant and I genuinely feel like the middle of my pelvis is splitting into two separate pieces.
I literally yelp like a dog when I try to turn over in bed the pain is soooooo bad. I've cried so much.
Is this normal? This is my first pregnancy.

Pelvix girth something it's called. I had it, yes complelty normal I'm afraid. You can ask your MW or buy online a girdle type support to lift the bump to ease the strain on the pelvis

Yes PGP, I had it with my daughter. Warm baths helped me and sleeping with a pillow (or 3) between my legs, and there’s a few other things you can do to help, ask your midwife and they can point you to guidance or refer you x

I had it with all four of my pregnancies. It's agony.
Tell your midwife.

I’ve had this with 2 out of 3 pregnancies - currently 39 weeks and I’m in agony daily. Unfortunately not much to be done, it tends to go pretty soon after you give birth. I’d say warm baths, hot water bottle (try to avoid the belly, just on pelvis) and a good pregnancy pillow! Good luck, not long now 🤞🏽

It's pelvic girdle pain. I had it when I was pregnant and it was agony. I couldn't move my legs, get up the stairs, get into the front seat of the car. Ask your midwife how to get obstetric physio, where I live you can self refer but may be different where you are. The only way I managed the pain was seeing an incredible oesteopath who I found on this website (which someone here recommended to me.) After my appointments with her I could manage the pain.

I was prescribed codeine for this towards the end, surprised to say the least but safe for pregnancy. Can you ask your midwife about it?

Thank you all!
It's a breath of relief knowing that I haven't actually broken a bone or torn anything 😮‍💨I was in disbelief that this was supposed to happen honestly.

Thanks everyone ♡
