Is anyone having it? Any reservations?
I’ve been invited to have it but not sure if necessary!

I suppose I said no to the Covid one because I have had 4 previously??

thoughts?

I've stopped having covid jabs after my 1st booster. Also pregnant, had my Rsv one last week. IMO I think any vaccine which can provide immunity for baby is worth having but once we start getting onto booster 3, 4 etc I think it's a risk balancing exercise and I'd rather trust in my body's immunity by that point! My grandmother in law has had 9 😨

My son had RSV at 9 days old. What followed was a very traumatic 10 day stay in hospital being tube fed, on iv fluids and on oxygen. He suffered with asthma and chest infections throughout his childhood-- in part as a result of this.

I wouldn't hesitate -- get the vaccine.

My daughter died from bronchiolitis a few years ago, although she was into toddlerhood when she caught it. I wouldn't think twice about the vaccine. Protect your babies any way you can.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Flowers

If you have shared your story on here before, then I just wanted to say you have changed how I manage bronchiolitis in my children, which may have saved my baby’s life. My toddler has had countless episodes of bronchiolitis / viral wheeze and gradually my threshold for taking him to the hospital became higher as the older he got, the more we could manage at home. When my then 2 month old became unwell with it, I genuinely believe I would have taken him in later than I did if I hadn’t read your story. He was in a bad enough way when we did go in, so waiting even longer wouldn’t have been good for him. So I just wanted to say that with my family at least, you have made a difference ❤️

The covid vaccine that is availabke now is not a booster!!!

it is given to vulnerable people including pregnant women to protect them from covid, the vaccine lasts 1 year, its not a booster its a vaccine that lasts for 1 year so those that need it get it yearly and those that have a temporary vulnerability like pregnancy are protected for a year!!
