Week 6 symptoms died down

Hi, its the neurotic husband again.

Last week SO was having plenty of symptoms...nausea, cramps, light footedness, tender breasts. However this week she said she feels normal, bar some morning nausea yesterday after a banana.

Is it normal for this to fluctuate? We're first timers here so nervous about everything prior to 7 week scan next week.

Thanks.

Very, very normal for things to fluctuate and for symptoms to come and go in the first trimester.
It's not an indication of anything being wrong.
I'm 10 weeks and symptoms have been coming and going since about 5.5 weeks, had nothing before that

@superkiff completely normal for symptoms to fluctuate! I remember frantically Googling every change in symptoms that I had.

Funnily enough it was around 6 weeks that my symptoms reduced/went and I posted on here asking the same... ironically I was later SO sick that I was diagnosed with Hyperemisis Gravidum (sp?).

Not saying that you'll definitely end up with it but what I will say is symptoms do fluctuate and enjoy any time you have that's symptom free/not as hard as it'll fluctuate! All the best xx

I’ll be honest and say that when my symptoms went at 10 weeks it was because I had unknowingly had a missed miscarriage. I did so many searches too but ultimately it’s different for everyone.
Also I think at 6 weeks it’s probably too early to see what her main symptoms will consistently be yet. So I wouldn’t be worried at that stage.

Thank you @sel2223

You're welcome. Honestly, we all have the exact same worries.

In my first pregnancy, I didn't have any symptoms at all until over 7 weeks then BAM, they all came at once

Every single pregnancy is different so please try not to worry unduly (easier said than done, i know - It's human nature for us to always fear the worst).

My mother had 4 kids and barely had any symptoms at all in any of the pregnancies. Ironically, the one pregnancy where she did have every symptom going was the one she unfortunately miscarried (it was a MMC and she had no idea as she was still getting such strong symptoms).

The odds of MC remain the same whether you have strong symptoms or not, whether they come and go, whether they gradually increase or decline. All of that can be perfectly normal in a healthy pregnancy.
