Preeclampsia + High carbon monoxide levels

Little bit of a random one but the early morning wake up had me thinking, I had my girl nearly 10 months ago now but when I was about 35 weeks pregnant I had a midwife appointment where the midwife found all the indication markers for preeclampsia and I also had a really high carbon monoxide reading, the midwife sent me to the hospital to be looked at for the preeclampsia but she also sent a note to the hospital to speak to me about quitting smoking, I've never smoked a day in my life, I assumed the high carbon monoxide levels may have had something to do with being 35+ weeks being out of breath and the preeclampsia? Could the high carbon monoxide reading be because of the preeclampsia? I can't seem to find the answer and I never really followed up on it, curious in case this should pop up in future pregnancies! Any help is appreciated 🥰

Do you have a carbon monoxide alarm at home? Could be a gas leak. This should have been investigated as a priority!

Do you have gas appliances in your home and do you have a carbon monoxide alarm?

No, it wouldnt cause high carbon monoxide readings. If you don’t smoke then either a faulty gas appliance, road pollution (can affect readings a bit) or a faulty reading (unlikely).

As above, should have a gas safety check in case of a dodgy appliance.
Can also be caused by lactose intolerance (wouldn't cause an extremely high reading, but may trigger over the 4ppm threshold of 'normal' on the CO monitor).

Thank you all for your concern I don't have a carbon monoxide detector in my flat but the flat complex that I live in nobody has gas as the building is fully electric so a gas leak isn't likely. It's interesting as I did a carbon monoxide reading after she was born at the 10 day checkup and it was within perfectly normal range, I find it so odd
