How far along are you?

Shahhhh · 28/08/2024 15:28

That looks brown which means it's old blood. It can happen. If it turns fresh and red maybe contact your local EPU unit

Just about 4-5 weeks

It could well be implantation then I had that between weeks 4-5 too and it's first time I've had it, it lasted about 4-5 days

4-5 weeks is very, very early.

Brown spotting is normally old blood so could well be implantation bleeding.
If it turns pink or red then it could be the start of your period meaning you may have had a chemical pregnancy (very early miscarriage).

There is really no way to tell at this stage apart from waiting to see what the next few days bring. If still spotting and unsure, you could try and get an early scan at 6 weeks+ (not recommended to go before 6 weeks unless there is a concern re ectopic or something like that as you will likely only see a gestational sac, no foetus or heartbeat so it won't really answer any questions or provide much reassurance)

Good luck and try to stay positive - lots of women have minor spotting and go on to have perfectly healthy pregnancies

There is really no way to tell until they scan you I had brown on my second miscarriage and a friend of mine was same but she didn't miscarry everyone's body is so different its so hard

I bled like that, even a bit heavier and it was implantation bleeding.

You're very early so anything could happen, but implantation bleeding is very very common.

As long as it's not bright red, heavy and clotting I wouldn't worry too much.
