Hi all not sure if I will get many answers on the pregnancy forum but felt in sentive to post in miscarriage forum to satisfy my anxiety

I have 9 weeks 1 day I have seen baby every week ( previous ectopic naturally ancipus and epu are just amazing and see me every week)

so as I said baby has measured on time every week great heartbeat and each scan has been great. no spotting or cramps but also not alot of symptoms which makes me worry about mmc

for anyone that DID experience mmc before did you see the heartbeat post 8 weeks and then it just stopped or mmc not picked up to later was it because you didn't have a scan to later on?

I hope this makes sense 😪

Hi so I had a mmc at 10 weeks the heart beat was good and then it was barely beating so had to wait another week to wait for it to stop. Try and not worry it's out of our control I'm currently going through my third mmc at 8 weeks

I am so so sorry to hear this I hope you get answers. I have no real reason to panic apart from lack of symtoms but so hard not to worry when you can mc without even knowing x

@Livingonhope you just never know I have a baby girl after my first two miscarriages and I believe everything happens for a reason and our bodies do what they are meant to do it's only thing getting me through it at moment. You'll get negative and positive stories on here if I learnt anything it's everyones story is different and what is meant to be will be and I know that wouldn't stop you worrying as I worried every day when I was pregnant withy daughter but it was all worth it in the end

@Livingonhope I’ve had two MMCs at 10 and 11 weeks, scans beforehand showed good healthy heartbeats and good growth. Statistically, I was just incredibly unlucky. Gently, you have no reason to think you’re going to have a MMC and to have had weekly scans and measurements is a lot. Have you maybe spoken to a midwife about how you’re feeling? I had symptoms also for one of my MMCs but less for my other one, so though I understand your anxiety around not having symptoms it doesn’t necessarily mean anything. Congratulations on your pregnancy x

I had a MMC where I didn't find out until my 12 week scan, baby was measuring 10/11 weeks so it had only just happened about a week before the scan. Yes it was traumatic and emotionally took its toll, but I went onto have two successful pregnancies afterwards and I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant with my third. I naturally have suffered with bad scan anxiety for all subsequent pregnancies after the MMC but it was just one of those things. I know it's hard but you can't control the outcome, take comfort in the fact your scans have been great and hold onto that.

My MMC was at 16 weeks.

Multiple early scans showed a fit and healthy developing baby (there were two sacs originally but one was "absorbed" - that was the only odd thing to happen)

12 week scan showed a bouncy happy baby. All looked well.

16 week gender scan showed no heartbeat.

Baby was born and was estimated to be between 13&14 weeks so had passed not long after the scan.

My sickness and nausea, and fatigue, in this pregnancy were the worst I'd ever experienced in pregnancy (2 healthy babies before) and continued right up until I gave birth. So even after I had the tablets to start labour etc.

My hormone levels were still high apparently so my body was still reacting to these causing the symptoms.

I wouldn't put too much stress on severity or lack of symptoms as really all they are is your body's way of reacting to the hormone levels...and everybody's body has a difference tolorance to them which can vary pregnancy to pregnancy.

What I did invest in was a home doppler. These are not approved by medical staff, and are by no ways a solid way of confirming or denying the baby's health so should not be used in such a way. But being able to hear baby's heartbeat when my anxiety was high was a relief (with no other concerning symptoms like bleeding, reduced movement etc) It just helped my mind relax.

I had an MMC in the Autumn of last year, I felt thoroughly pregnant and it didnt occur to me to have a scan earlier than the 12 week NHS one. Thus it came as a horrific shock as I had no indication whatsoever, the embryo had only grown to six weeks but the sac had kept growing so if I had had a scan anywhere past 6.6 to 7 weeks I would have found out earlier and I wont be making that mistake again.

So sorry you had to experience this OneNaturesCourse. I am just wondering which doppler you got?

I found the HB from around 10 weeks with this pregnancy, which is very early but doable if baby is in right position. The instructions do state they don't recommend it until 16 weeks.
