I would recommend baby born free bottles. They are really good and you can fit the AVENT teats on them

Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature are BPA Free (as of about a month ago). You can tell as BPA ones are cloudy. The shop assistant was saying that it's the BPA that makes the plastic clear. Not sure if that's right or not, but makes sense

There are lots of BPA free bottles here if that is and help any good

MrsBadger is there any need to immediately ask about breastfeeding on a thread asking about bottles, nothing else, just a simple question about bottles?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 30/04/2009 17:36

I was going to suggest the ones from Greenbaby too, I found MAM a real faff to clean and they leaked a lot.

What is the advantage of glass bottles?

mumofoliver · 30/04/2009 18:48

just ordered some bpa-free avent bottles from mothercare online - apparently john lewis sell them too.

Green Baby sell glass bottles and also great plastic cups and bottles that are BPA free. They have stores but also a website. They test all their products themselves to check about BPA/phthalates etc, so I'm told.

The only problem with Green Baby is the £4.50 delivery charge

Tee2072 · 02/05/2009 18:20

Tommee Tippee bottles are PBA free.

I use glass NUK bottles for my 12 month old. They are heavier, but are much easier to clean I think. I had plastic NUK ones previously, I love the squishy teat as she was BF with occassional bottle and didn't mind the softer teat, but hated the Avent. Also the plastic ones got unbelievably scratched and that made me feel like they weren't clean. I used a microwave steriliser as I don't have a dishwasher. Now I just wash em up in hot water with gloves on and leave them to drain on paper. Every few weeks or so I chuck all my plastic cups and the bottles into Milton just to make sure.

Tommy tippee bottles are BPA free by the way... although not glass. I have got some free with my breast pump.
